I needed a keyboard for my work station that was relatively quiet. I at first looked at the be quiet! keyboards, but those have horrible durability i've heard and i was not going to risk it. Thats when i decided to go with the keydous, and im so glad i did. When used properly, it is basically silent (with wrist rest + typing with moderate force), and the black and gold theme goes with my setup so fantastically. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Very good functionality and software make the NJ98 a standout 98/1800 layout keyboard.

The brass plate gives it a firmness and heft while deadening sound a bit; the KB really shines with distinct sounding switches in like the high pitch HMX Sunset Gleams. I found the stock switches (Taro) to perform well but feel and sound somewhat bland. LED diffusers add a lot to the lighting of this board, which really glows thanks to the brass plate; it also seems to amplify ping and scratchiness so choose your switches carefully. Barebones would be a good way to buy this KB, but the stock keycaps (deep sea) are keepers with good thickness, feel and look, so any config should be a fine buy.

The only problem with the NJ98 is the stabilizers. The spacebar is particularly egregious, made of a different, brittle material than the 2u keys that broke after my third time pulling the key! They all feel sluggish and don't sound much better. Pick up some decent plate-mount stabilizers (I used Everglide Panda V3) and swap them out immediately for a much better typing experience. Once that was done, I did a band-aid mod, stuffed the spacebar full of foam and tape to dampen it, and have been enjoying the NJ98 with no further changes.

It's a good stock board that becomes a great one with minimal, basic tinkering, and the software is the best non-VIA I've used. Easy recommendation for a starter in the mech keys hobby, or as an upgrade from a true budget starter.

The keyboard is great quality in both sound, light and the screen functionality. However, the Vintage Type colorway that I ordered came with the Vintage keycaps, but black case/frame instead of the white that was in the image. Still great keyboard overall.

I have previous bought the NJ80 barebones and had put it together myself with parts from other providers. The case was amazing and provided what I needed while I built it. I’ve been looking for a keyboard with the tenkey and the multimedia knob for a while but had recently injured a hand and knew I was not going to be able to put something together myself. When I found the NJ98 I was excited, since the previous keydous board I’d made was my favorite. The options that were allowed to customize the keyboard itself made it feel as though I’d put it together and installed everything myself. The amount of switch and key options was amazing and allowed me to select what I needed to be best in a work environment while still providing the feel of custom built and superior quality. I highly enjoy utilizing this keyboard, I’ve only used it in the wired setting at the moment but I am excited to be able to bring it with me when working in other places.

This is my second keyboard! My first was a Aula F99, super budget-friendly starter for my home desk set-up. Was in the market for another 95% to 100% keyboard for work and after doing some research went with this board. The switches I wanted were out of stock but a Rep reached out to see if I wanted to choose another switch or wait for the restock. Amazing customer service and it came faster than I expected!

I ordered the Peach Cream with Rainy Whisper switches. See the video for how it sounds! Love the "Spherical" keycaps. Honestly a perfect base and sounds sooo good out of the box. Has more weight than the Aula F99 and is a bit longer as well.

Updating the screen window to a personalized gif was super easy after downloading the driver! Plan to put Osume Sakura Keycaps and Switches on this board. Customized my screen to have the a sakura gif! Can't wait to try different switches & keycaps. 🌸

I absolutely love this keyboard. It's sturdy and high quality and it's a great option for someone who wants to try customizing a mechanical keyboard on their own. I can't wait to play around with different keys and switches!

Exquisite keyboard with amazing soft keystrokes when typing. Shipping took awhile but it arrived in great shape. Only key that's slightly loud is the larger spacebar related to general size. Otherwise amazing keyboard

I got the Pale Green color, Brass weight, and BOX Taro Ice Cream Pro switches. This is my first mechanical keyboard so I did a lot of research before settling on the NJ98. I love everything about this keyboard. The color is cute, great quality, the sound of the switches is so smooth, and it is a great price.

Took a little longer than I expected to get here but I think I got my moneys worth!

I have never been a snob when it comes to keyboards. I have always used whatever my employer provides. In the last couple of years, the quality of the keyboards that have been provided whether it’s an upgrade or replacement has diminished. The keys are either flat, loud, or my hands are carpel tunnel bound. One fine day, I used my co-worker’s keyboard. I literally thought “what is this sorcery?!”. The keys were incredibly soft. It was quiet. It was insanely heavenly. I ordered one immediately! The ONLY thing I am bummed about is that the zero on the 10 key- key pad is under my middle finger instead of my thumb. But all the pros beat this lil con. I LOVE MY KEYBOARD!

Oh lordy lordy.. do I love her, I find she has a fantasticly comfortable height, the caps are easy to switch off and the stock caps are just gorgeous, I love the little screen so much... 10/10 would buy again

Product arrived as described and shipping didn't take too long at all. The animation screen is so cute and can be customized through the Keydous software that's available for download on their website. I swapped out the switches and keycaps for something closer to my aesthetic.

Really enjoying the keyboard, its a really smooth typing experience and the keyboard itself looks & sounds amazing. Worth the wait. Customer service was also really helpful with everything. Keycaps are great quality and there’s a lot of good customization options to program the keyboard.

The quality is superb and makes the price somewhat reasonable. I love the extra keycaps and the tools to take off the keycaps included with the purchase. The process to add gifs/images to the little screen is easy to do. The clicky sounds of the keyboard are very satisfying and your color options are a good selection.
