Keydous NJ98-CP V4 HE Gaming Keyboard

Found that keyboard while searching for wireless magnetic fullsize with battery indicator/screen. Swapped switches with silent (outemu peach magnetic) and now it's silent too - it installed and work without problems and even calibration. Its cool that this keyboard NKRO on wireless dongle too (not only on wired connection), got non glitching backlite unlike others, screen is very sharp although i need only battery indicator and time on it, synchronizes time with PC automatically, has two diodes on keys like caps for indicating, volume knob regulates volume by default, many options to do from keyboard itself shortcuts (disable backlite, printscreen, connection mode, calibration) - it's wery well ingeneured.

Set all keys to trigger on 1mm very easy and custom pic on screen.

Things to improve from me -
1. all the same but 100% fullsize layout =D i'll buy it.
2. silent switches by default
3. type c port not sinked to body to add magnetic type c adapter for quick releasing from charge in wireless mode.
4. usb dongle magnetic/more loose store (it was very hard to get this adapter from slot with my thin nails
5. driver for software for linux (web driver sends me to download win/mac driver)

Pretty Decent Keyboard! Customer Service was fast and responsive and helped me swap the color I needed to before it shipped and information on customs. The 2 critics I have is the software could be better with clearer instructions but overall not a big deal to figure out and lastly, I wish they sell the keycaps on the website

This keyboard has a nice keystroke and a nice sound.

I had a great experience with both the keyboard and the seller. The customer service was outstanding — the communication was smooth, and the seller went above and beyond to help me. I'm truly grateful for their effort in making sure the keyboard reached me safely.

As for the keyboard itself — it's absolutely amazing. Hands down, the best keyboard I've ever used. The magnetic switches are fantastic, the build quality is top-notch, and the overall feel is just incredible.

I've already recommended it to two of my friends, and they're just as thrilled with it as I am.

If you're wondering whether it's worth buying the keyboard from this seller — my answer is a definite yes.

the best keyboard i have ever used

I have the NJ80 and now I got the NJ98-CP HE V2 and the switches are much better here, they sound good with the brass plate. Software has improved a lot, I haven't had any issues with it. And the support for regular 3/5 pin switches is really cool. Black samurai design looks classy. Probably the best budget almost full sized HE keyboard.

Been using this wonderful keyboard for about two months now so I figured it's time to share my thoughts.

Pros:
♥ Magnetic switches are life changing!
♥ I haven't experienced a single disconnection or a keystroke mis-click once on both 2.4ghz and bluetooth modes
♥ Battery life is pretty accurate to websites description (RGB & screen always on = 29 hours. RGB & screen off 800 hours).
♥ Amazing build quality. The sounds this keyboard produces has a much more soothing accoustic profile than my Topre keyboard that cost much, much more.
♥ Did I forget to mention magnetic switches are life changing!

The only things I would like to be changed are just on the software/firmware side if possible. Currently I am on application version 360.2.109 & firmware version ID1259_V125.
• When I use function+Q/W/E to change magnetic modes I would like each mode to remember it's own lighting profile.
• On the magnetic docking screen on the default screen that shows the time, battery life, connection type, etc the the colors used are orange, yellow, & kiwi green. I would like to be able to customize these colors.
• I would also like the option to change the clock format from using a 24 hour to a 12 hour format.
• The biggest change I would like most is the ability to see the battery percentage in real time while the battery is recharging. As of right now all you see is the battery bar fill up docking screen with no info at what percentage it's at until you unplug the usb-c cable. I like to keep my battery from 30-80% to prolong battery life.

Amazing, very smooth, like it

No lag, I hand lubed all the switches, recalibrating the Hall effect switches is very easy if you mix the stems up. I just wish I could get an aluminum case version, gasket mounted would also be a plus. It’s hard to find nice things for full sized and 98 percent keyboards. No custom cases I can buy online.

Not completely disappointment. Mostly i still need to get to use not 100% layout, especialy cursor keys and small enter key.
Shame that display is basicaly uselles ( on Logitech G15 and higher was really usefull for several things. Here i can have original screen or some image/animation ( with very looong downloading times - why??? ).
Another thing is software. It's usable but some things are hidden or have strange name so you'll be lost a bit.
Some instructions on instruction sheet could be more clear ( like pairing with 2.4G transmitter ).

Power switch could be also in some other place ( with switching possible connections ). Backlight isn't terrible either but no mechanical keyboard with only letters/symbols backlight isn't avaible so... . And two keys ( + and enter ) on numeric part are dark because how switch under them is oriented,clearly big design and QC oversight which would be acceptable on some generic cheap keyboards not here.

Will i buy it again?
Well maybe if price will be atleast lower by 1/3 of current one. Atleast.

Hi, so far I'm currently loving the keyboard but I need different keystroke profiles for productivity and gaming usage. I would really appreciate it if you could implement this feature into the software. Aside from this shortcoming, the keyboard is great!

The software is a little hard to figure out on your own, some of it is in Chinese and some of it is just not super intuitive. But aside from that the keyboard build quality feels excellent for the price. It sounds great(I got brass), has super smooth key presses, is hefty and filled with foam, the little screen is cool, and overall looks really good. I do wish it had a print screen button for being almost a 100% keyboard, but I'll find a way around it.

NJ98-CP V3 HE Rapid Trigger Gaming Keyboard

Finally a 100% HE keyboard that feels super premium, the sound is amazing, silky smooth, nicely quiet, if feels ;amazing to type and use. My only problem is the software is kinda janky, and the manual was in chinese which is not my language not suprisingly. The design is amazing. I love it, the shipping time was fast aswell. Havent figured out the bluetooth yet, cause it's a bit confusing. but i'm sure thats not a problem of the keyboard.

I am really loving this keyboard. It has a screen that is customizable to show whatever you want. It shows current time as well, which is useful. Hotswappable with regular switches and HE switches. It has 2.4 ghz, bluetooth and wired options. It has even a calculator button. Spacebar button is great but maybe they can work on backspace, sometimes it is unenjoyable to press. (by the way i took Brass plate option, it is great, highly recommended)

Keyboard overall feels incredible, coming from K100 with OPX switches, these feel smoother, more consistent and more responsive (yet on paper should be slower) so take as you will.

Sound is incredible, the dampening from the multiple layers and the metal base make for an insanely "thocky" sound profile, the Jade Pros are amazing, they have such a nice sound profile with this keyboard.

Software is surprisingly good, it has all the features you would want (except one) or maybe 2, firstly I do wish the installer had some form of a game profile so it can detect games and have either different actuation settings OR different RGB lighting profiles.

This brings me to the main issue I have and that is the lighting profile, when you create a custom light profile (so custom keys with custom RGB values0 they have up to 5 layers but with no Fn+(whatever key) to switch between them but you can switch between default light profile animations. If that can be added via a firmware or even software as an option to map to a key that would be amazing

While the physical keyboard is good enough to be considered entry-level premium, the software feels severely underdeveloped and unpolished.

Pro's:
- Good build, seems to be robust enough, it does have a little bend but it's not something to be worry about.
- Technically speaking it shows it has potential, e.g. dynamic multi-reference display, compatibility with a large variety of switches HE/Non-HE

Con's:
- Software tool issues:
- Numlock Pilot Lamp toggle is not working at all.
- No custom mapping on keys (e.g. Cal -> Context menu or other keys) only some limited macro.
- No understandable guide / no guide at all for most of all the "features" present in the software tool.
- Customization on the screen = 0 just having a gif / image instead of the useful (default) screen isn't customizable, just custom.
- Slow servers. Takes around 1 minute to load the animation share tab on a 2.1 Gbps bandwidth for ~60 MB to load.
- Not intuitive UX & Flows. Most of the time, in lack of guides (in english at least) the only way to set up something more complex is only trial & error
- On multiple attempts of trial & error the Keyboard is overloaded with residual information and crashes.
*It remains as is until is switched off -> on & a factory reset is needed.
- The firmware upgrade is understandable to be only on USB connection but the screen update is not.
- The software tool resets it's opened tab when the connection is changed.
- Every time the software tool is opened it reading the keyboard as if it's the first time. Huge waiting times.
- The knob appears to be aesthetic-only, with no software functionality available.
- The customizability on RGB lighting is very basic, with limited control over effects or animations. There is no way to create a moving/dynamic lighting.
- Inexistent help menu / complete list of shortcuts e.g. Fn+NumPad_plus ==> Screen Brightness up & Fn+NumPad_minus ==> Screen Brightness down
- Hardware issues:
- For a "Premium" brand (website description on Google search: "Keydous | Premium Custom Mechanical Keyboard") the wobbling on the keycaps is excessive.
- The keycaps are ok, but would it be more premium if the prints were see-through.
- Low battery life (6 days with moderate usage) on Stealth lighting with 90s until sleep (it takes a key to boot afterwards) and with the screen at level 2/5 of brightness.
- General issues:
- Lack of switch selection.
- Lack of accessories (e.g. variety of Keycaps)
- Very long shipment time.
- No invoice of the payment nor for the order.

In short, for the price tag that it has is not providing. Mostly because of the Software tool that acts like a generic driver and not like a proper configuration suite.
My recommendation for the devs & manages is to take a look on Logitech MX & G Hub software for customizability and providing more substantial usage to the keyboard and for the lighting control take a look at ROG Aura Creator (it isn't something highly customizable but is 500% better than the present options).
It would be great if the source-code for the keyboard would be open-source so the community can make a better use of the keyboards.

From my experience until now, from the technical point of view it seems that all the above cons (SW ones) can be addressed and supported by the physical keyboard.
I am aware that there are more things to discover than what I've written already.

I will be glad to collaborate as tester or to keep sending suggestions in the future.
